Adab In Islam

In the name of Allah the all Merciful, The most Compassionate

All praise is for Allah. We praise Him, we seek His aid, and His forgiveness.
We seek Allah’s refuge from the evils of ourselves and from our evil
actions. Whomsoever Allah guides then none can misguide him,
and whomsoever Allah misguides then none can guide him.
We testify that none has the right to be worshipped except Allah,
alone, having no partner, and we testify that Muhammad
is His slave and His Messenger.

*****
.

Umar Ibn Al Khattab (رضى الله عنه) narrated:
“I heard the Messenger of Allah (صلى الله عليه وسلم) say: "Actions are but by intention and every man shall have but that which he intended. Thus he whose migration was for Allah and His messenger, his migration was for Allah and His messenger, and he whose migration was to achieve some worldly benefit or to take some woman in marriage, his migration was for that for which he migrated."
(Bukhari & Muslim)

The one who seeks knowledge to fight quarrel or debate, to compete with the people of knowledge, to get attention, fame, or has any other ill intention; then Allah (سبحانه وتعالى) will enter this person into hellfire. Some seek knowledge for worldly reasons and fame, hence it is important to purify our intentions, before acquiring, or seeking knowledge.

Assalaamo alaikum sister,

Absolutely fantastic notes which contain advice and guidance of which I am so in need of, in fact more so than a cold turkey drug addicts craving for a high. The differences are that my needs are real and the highs are spiritual, social and beneficial here and now as well as eternally (God willing). Just briefly glancing I think punctuality and time keeping are not mentioned. These two traits, when missing, really put a dampeners on it for me, especially when Muslims organise public/social/educational events. May God reward you for your elevating endeavours.

Assalaamo alaikum.

JazakhumAllah khair for your comment. I totally agree with you, these things are VERY important, and I assure you they will be coming up in future sections inshaAllah. The notes typed up so far are merely the tip of the iceberg, so to say. I still have another 40 pages to type up, and examples to add, that Mufti Muhammad ibn Adam mentioned during the course.

So inshaAllah, with your dua'as, I will reach these sections in the coming weeks. For the benefit of those that haven't read the book, or didn't attend the course, future sections include: Greetings, visiting, keeping appointments, manners of conversation, social manners, manners with parents and much more.

I have attempted to break the notes down into digestable sections, so that you as well as I have time to reflect on one part at a time, rather than trying to digest everything at once. So as I mentioned, the entire set of notes may take up to 5-6 weeks to complete. By which time inshaAllah part 2 of the course will take place...

Please keep reading, and remember both myself and more importantly our pious ulema in your dua'as.

May Allah give us all hidaya and grant us the best of the dunya and akhirra, may he make each and every small effort to obtain knowledge a means of salvation for all of us. Ameen

Fi Aman Allah.

Asalamualaikum wahrehmatullahi wahbarakatuhu

Alhamdulillah.JazakhumAllah khair for that akhi. Yes, that is true, Mufti Muhammad taught this in Ramadhan in Leicester too. He has not yet completed it in Manchester and inshaAllah the 2nd session will take place some time mid/late May (Keep visiting for updates inshaAllah). Even if you didn't attend upto now, inshaAllah you can benefit from the notes, and the second session.

I am told, there may be a cd/audio of the sessions available eventually, so all is not lost inshaAllah.

Also BarakAllah feeki sis ayesha for your comment.
